TNG receives a strategic visit from Colombia
On the morning of August 30, the General Management of Hutchison Ports TNG had the pleasure of receiving members of the Metal-Mechanical Cluster of Manizales – Caldas, who visited the shipyard on behalf of the Colombian Embassy, as a first approach in order to establish a strategic alliance . During the meeting, Marisol Benavides Villota, director of the Small, Medium and Large Business Unit of the Chamber of Commerce of Manizales de Caldas (CCMPC), and Jasmin Torres Tarquino, International Business Developer of Global Strategies & Tools SAS; commented that they had selected TNG, as a possible strategic partner, after having made a mapping in which they identified it as the largest shipyard in Mexico, with which they visualize an enriching exchange, since in their Metalworking Cluster they have the support of entities of government, unions, universities and more than 12 private companies that bid for the strengthening and economic development of their region in the naval, aerospace, construction, white goods, auto parts and agroindustry sectors.
“Although recently in the shipyard we have taken advantage of our expertise in the handling of steel to participate in metal-mechanic projects, we must not leave aside the wave of opportunities that is to derive from the Energy Reform of Mexico; That is why the creation of national and international support networks is now more important than ever, in order to satisfy that market demand. “Commented Mr. José Antonio Sardiña, General Manager of Hutchison Ports TNG.
Finally, after the presentation of the wide range of services and capabilities of the shipyard, the Colombian representatives were pleasantly surprised to have found in such a pleasant reception, several common points and multiple possibilities of collaboration.
